Privacy policy
Short version: this site is designed to publish research, not to build a visitor dossier.
What we collect
Visitors can read every page without creating an account. If you subscribe to field notes, we collect your email address and consent status. If you contact us, we collect the details you send so we can reply.
Our server may receive standard request logs: IP address, requested path, user agent, referrer, and timestamp. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, debugging, and aggregate traffic understanding.

Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of personal data we hold about you. EU, UK, and California residents have additional statutory rights, including the right to withdraw consent and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.
Email [email protected] with privacy requests. We may ask for enough information to verify that the request is legitimate.
Processors and transfers
We may use hosting, email delivery, and privacy-respecting analytics providers. These processors receive only the data required to perform their role. Where cross-border transfer safeguards are required, we use standard contractual or equivalent protections.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date and describe the change on this page. Subscribers may receive an email notice for changes that affect newsletter data.
